AND SO PRIORITY SITES IN THE COUNTY THAT I FELT THAT WE NEED TO AT LEAST GET CHARACTERIZED SO WE HAVE A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT THE SITE IS LACKING.

SO WE COULD POTENTIALLY START TRYING TO FIND FUNDING SOURCES TO GET THE SITE, UM, MOVED UP ON THE TIER STRUCTURE TO MAKE IT MORE ATTRACTIVE FOR NEW BUSINESS, UM, RECRUITMENT PURPOSES.

UM, AND I'VE MET WITH ALL FOUR OF THOSE LANDOWNERS.

UM, ALL OF THEM ARE DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN OBTAINING THE SITE CHARACTERIZATION FUNDING OR HOW THEY WANTED TO GO ABOUT DOING IT IS DIFFERENT ACROSS ALL FOUR OF THEM, .

BUT ONE OF THEM DOES WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE V E D P GRANT AND, UH, PARTNERING WITH THE E D A TO, TO FUND THE CHARACTERIZATION.

AND THAT IS THE OILVILLE SITE.

SO, UM, IT'S ROUGHLY, IT'S 152 ACRES RIGHT AT THE INTERCHANGE OF 64 AND OILVILLE ROAD.

UM, WE RECEIVED FUNDING, OR WE RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM D E D P THAT THEY WILL PAY 50% OF THE COST.

IT'S A $7,000 COST.

SO D E D P WILL PAY 3,500 AS A GRANT.

UM, AND THEN THE REMAINING, THE 3,500 WOULD BE SPLIT BETWEEN THE LAND OWNER AND POTENTIALLY THE E D A.

SO YOUR ALL IN WOULD BE 1750.

UH, THE ASK OF YOU IS TO FRONT THE 7,000 BECAUSE THE E D P CANNOT GIVE MONEY TO A PRIVATE LANDOWNER, SO IT HAS TO FLOW THROUGH THE E D A.

SO, UM, IF THE E D A WILL FRONT THE $7,000 TO GET THE CHARACTERIZATION DONE, ONCE IT'S COMPLETE, WE'LL SUBMIT IT TO THE E D P.

UM, BUT, UH, FROM THOSE VISITS WE IDENTIFIED, OR I IDENTIFIED ANOTHER 15 TO 20 BUSINESSES THAT WE NEVER HAD PREVIOUS CONTACT WITH.

SO, UM, MADE CONTACT WITH THOSE AND GOT THEM INTO THE, INTO OUR DATABASE, UM, AND ON THE NEWSLETTER AND, AND STUFF SO THAT THEY ARE NOW INVOLVED AND KNOW KIND OF WHAT RESOURCES THEY HAVE AT THEIR DISPOSAL.
